Ex-Planned Parenthood Manager to Lead Philadelphia Protest and Reveal Abortion Chain’s Activity

Sue Thayer, 40 Days for Life Outreach Director and Former Planned Parenthood Manager, to Expose the Truth to Philadelphians

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—As Planned Parenthood continues to perform over 330,000 abortions annually, and measures to provide medical care for babies born alive after botched abortions were recently blocked for the 24th time in the United States House of Representatives, some Americans are saying enough is enough.

The Trump administration announced last Friday that a $1.7 million family planning grant would be given to The Obria Group, which aims to provide “life-affirming care to low income men and women across the country” in order “to compete with the national abortion providers” like Planned Parenthood.

Will our country see an increase in “compassionate, holistic, life-affirming healthcare” as The Obria Group’s goal states? Will the government cut millions of dollars in funding to Planned Parenthood?

The Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia ( believes it is time to eliminate the need for abortion in Greater Philadelphia. In order to achieve this objective, people need to know the truth about Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain.

In observance of the 4th Annual National Day of Prayer and Protest Against Planned Parenthood, the Pro-Life Union will peacefully lead Philadelphia’s National Protest Planned Parenthood Day on April 3.

“This is a pivotal moment. The tide is rising. People are no longer able to stand on the fence,” said Tom Stevens, President and CEO of Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia. “As the number of informed people (about what actually happens inside the doors of Planned Parenthood) increases, the massive incentive to find real alternatives and promote true options to abortion also increases.”

Protests are a piece—and protest we will,” Stevens continued, “But, the key message is—there are many other alternatives to Planned Parenthood for true, safe, reproductive healthcare and many alternatives to abortion. Women must hear the message, before they take an action they’ll likely regret for the rest of their lives.”

Sue Thayer, 40 Days for Life Outreach Director and former Planned Parenthood clinic manager, will speak to the crowd about her professional experiences working at Planned Parenthood and why she now advocates for the lives of unborn children.
