Mother’s Day weekend was a bountiful opportunity for parishes in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to support the pro-life movement by donating items or financial contributions to Guiding Star Ministries (GSM), a maternity home and outreach program by the Pro-Life Union. We are astounded to have received numerous car loads of donated items for mothers and children, as well as financial contributions to help alleviate costs of necessities.

We’ve also had wonderful volunteer groups recently share their time and talents at GSM with cleaning, organization of storage spaces, painting, meal preparation, and installation of lights and air conditioning units. Some of these volunteer groups include the Knights of Columbus Father John E. Doyle Council #9715 and Cornerstone Outreach. We sincerely appreciate their kindness and willingness to help GSM residents and staff members.
