9/23 – Sidewalk Counseling Training (videoconference)

Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia will hold a Sidewalk Counseling Training session via videoconference on Sunday, September 23 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

During this session, you will learn:

  • What to expect when you serve in front of an abortion clinic.
  • Clear statements to communicate and questions to ask when you talk to women and those who accompany them.
  • Medical and statistical facts about abortion.
  • Common reasons why women have abortions, ways we can help and examples of victory.

Led by: Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia board member, Dr. Monique Ruberu, OB/GYN. Dr. Ruberu serves as the primary physician at Natural Women’s Health at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook. Outside of work, she has personally helped saved numerous mothers and children as a sidewalk counselor, and is an organizer of Philadelphia’s 40 Days For Life campaigns.

40 Days For Life campaigns have been effective at saving lives, and changing minds and hearts to recognize the sanctity of human life. Now is your time to partake in 40 Days For Life campaigns throughout the Philadelphia area!

Attend the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia’s Kickoff Rally (includes a candlelight vigil for prayer, singing and inspiring speakers) on Wednesday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m. outside of Planned Parenthood on 1144 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. 9/30 – Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Respect Life Month Opening Celebration

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Life and Family invites you to their Respect Life Month Opening Celebration on Sunday, September 30 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul. Click here to view their event flyer.

3:00-4:00 p.m. – Presentation by Julia Calandra Lineberg (Padre Pio Center)
4:00-6:15 p.m. – Veneration of Relics (in the Basilica) of St. Padre Pio, St. Teresa of Calcutta, St. Gianna Molla and St. Maria Goretti.
*Note: In addition to the relic of St. Padre Pio, a copy of the letter St. Padre Pio sent to Blessed Paul VI supporting Humanae Vitae will be available to read.
6:30 p.m. – Mass in the Basilica

10/7 – Respect Life Sunday

Participate in an area Life Chain on Respect Life Sunday (October 7). This is a golden and strategic moment to become a great witness for the unborn and encourage others to attend.

Local Life Chains are in the following areas: Abington, Bryn Mawr, Collegeville, Downingtown, Kennett Square, Paoli, Philadelphia, Phoenixville, Springfield (Delco), Warminster, Wayne, West Chester and West Grove.

10/12 – “Gosnell” Movie Release

10/13 – Archdiocesan Humanae Vitae Conference

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Life and Family is sponsoring a special conference “Humanae Vitae: The Prophetic Voice of Blessed Paul VI 50 Years Later” on Saturday, October 13 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at The Logan Philadelphia Hotel. 10/17 – Pro-Life Forum at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church
