5/30 – ON-LINE SUPPORT GROUP FOR ADULT CHILDREN OF DIVORCE/SEPARATION

St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation holds an online support group for adult children of divorced and separated Catholics on the last Thursday of each month for one hour. The next one will take place on Thursday, May 30 from 8:00-9:00 p.m. The support group includes prayer, reflection, and sharing. 5/31 – DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ENTRIES FOR PRO-LIFE ESSAY CONTEST (SPONSORED BY ST. MARIA GORETTI PARISH)

Are you a student, or know of students, who would like some spending money this summer? If you have an interest in the right to life, then write for cash! The Respect Life Committee of Saint Maria Goretti Parish is sponsoring an essay contest for Greater Philadelphia region middle school and high school students! This year’s essay question is: “What are your thoughts on abortion after a baby’s heartbeat can be detected?” Judging will be based on Judeo-Christian Ethics relevant to this subject. Express your personal opinion according to your USA Constitutional rights of free speech. There are two divisions: junior division (grades 6-8) and senior division (grades 9-12). Each division will be awarded the following cash prizes by June 15th: $300 (first prize), $200 (second prize), and $100 (third prize). The word count for essays in the junior division is 500 words or less. The word count for essays in the senior division is 1,000 words or less. To submit your essay, mail or send your entry to St. Maria Goretti Parish’s address: Saint Maria Goretti, ATTN: Respect Life Committee, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA 19440. 6/7-6/9 – RACHEL’S VINEYARD RETREAT (SPANISH LANGUAGE ONLY)

Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries is hosting a weekend retreat from Friday, June 7-Sunday, June 9 at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa (654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901) for those who have been touched by the loss of a child to abortion. Please note that this particular weekend retreat is only offered in the Spanish language. This retreat is not just for mothers and fathers who have lost a child to abortion, but also for grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and even those who have participated in the abortion industry. It is an extraordinary opportunity to help you grieve your loss and to understand and release the deep feelings of anger, shame, guilt and grief that frequently accompany an abortion experience. 6/23-6/30 – SFLA PENNSYLVANIA MISSION TRIP

Are you a high school or college student looking for some pro-life mission work for the summer or want to grow in your outreach skills? Join the Students for Life of America(SFLA) from Sunday evening, June 23-Sunday morning, June 30 for a week-long mission experience filled with apologetics training, pro-life outreach, and fun! Their mission is to develop skills in Pro-Life Apologetics and to change hearts and minds about abortion in Pennsylvania. The mission trip will begin in Philadelphia, with intensive training from pro-life experts, a visit Gosnell’s facility, and participation in a prayer chain outside the Philadelphia Planned Parenthood. Starting Wednesday, they will travel to Agape Farm in Mount Union, PA, to work the SFLA Booth at Creation Fest 2019, one of the largest Christian music festivals in PA. Put your skills to work at the booth and throughout the festival by initiating conversations, recruiting strong pro-life leaders, and inspiring passive pro-lifers to action. Campfires, concerts, food, and fun included! Attendees of this mission trip must be 18 or older.
